Companies that have joined a producer organisation must submit data concerning the packaging of products that they have placed on the market. Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd customers submit their packaging data reports to Rinki. How and when will this packaging data need to be reported? We are here to help.<\/strong>

Companies with producer responsibility are legally obliged to organise the collection and recycling of the packaging of all products that they place on the market. This ensures that the packaging materials can be recycled into new packaging and products as efficiently as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When companies join the producer responsibility scheme, they transfer their obligation to collect and recycle their packaging to the producer organisations. Companies are left with two duties:

  1. Reporting their packaging data<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Paying the recycling and customer fees determined on the basis of their packaging data.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Reporting packaging data on time is essential for the producer responsibility scheme to work, as the system\u2019s financing, invoicing and operations are dependent on this.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please note: Packaging data reports for 2025 and 2026 must be submitted to Rinki by customers of Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd (FPP) in the year in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Packaging data for 2025 will be reported quarterly or yearly. For companies submitting a yearly report, the deadline for submitting 2025 packaging data is 31 January 2026.<\/p>\n

    The Rinki extranet service for the customer companies of Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd. A company can use the service to report the packaging data to Rinki quickly and easily, and the service also provides instructions for submitting the data.<\/p>\n

    Please note: Packaging data reports for 2025 and 2026 must be submitted to Rinki by customers of Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd (FPP) in the year in question.<\/p>\n

    The Extranet can be accessed by company\u2019s contact persons whose details have been provided to Rinki; the contact persons\u2019 details can be updated at any time on the Extranet.<\/p>\n

    Logging in to the Extranet is easy: the service is accessed using an email address and a one-time PIN code, which will be sent by email and, if necessary, to mobile number via an SMS message when you log in.
