Price lists
A company with producer responsibility obligations pays the packaging material-specific recycling fees and other EPR fees determined by the producer organisations. Rinki collects the producer responsibility fees on behalf of Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd and passes them on to the producer organisation.
The producer responsibility fees for packaging are based on the current price list and packaging volumes used by the company in the previous year. Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd customers submit their packaging volume reports to Rinki.
The recycling fees charged by Rinki cover the recycling of packaging placed on the Finnish market by the company and the recycling of consumer packaging in Finland. The collection of packaging waste from the company’s premises is not included in these fees.
The recycling fees cover:
- The network of terminals for packaging waste from companies and for household packaging waste.
- Transport of the material from the terminal to the processing plant
- Recycling into new products or into raw material for new products
VAT is added to the fees.

Did you know that Rinki and Finnish Packaging Producers Ltd work on a non-profit basis? The producer responsibility fees paid by companies are spent on operations related to producer responsibility for packaging.
Price lists (Mainland Finland)
Producer responsibility fees are determined by the producer organisation’s price list. In addition to recycling fees, the producer organisation collects SUP fees, a one-off registration fee and an annual business service fee.
